Border Wars. Now & in the Future.

When the people of Gaza tried to break out of their siege this year, it was obvious that they weren’t getting a fair shake in our mainstream media. The entire time was spent talking about the sanctity of the border and what Israel was allowed to do.

Of course, it was easy for anyone with open eyes to see that the argument, though emotionally exploitative, was entirely against what was happening in Gaza.

But Bibi knew that few in the West would have much sympathy for the image of brown “hordes” coming over the border. With Europe having barely recovered from the refugee crisis (where odes to refugees who have drowned are attacked and tagged) and America as xenophobic as ever, few of the talking heads have had the courage to speak up for the wretched of the earth.

Indeed, as we face a mini-crisis on our own southern border, few are speaking out against both the policies that created these refugees and our evil reaction to it.

But we must.

Now, I’m not talking about changing the minds of the straight evil people who see a brown child and think “killer”. No, I’m talking about people who have a heart.

First, we must help these people who are fleeing conditions that we have created. I’m serious about us having created these conditions. We’ve been helping or…
