Exactly. It’s still a time of change for the fictional world and some things (I liked series as a way to tell stories, for example) are up in the air. Instead what we’re hearing is that Medium is trying its best to be like other parts of the internet and simple fill some algorithmic mode, rather than provide a whole humane-worthy set of choices. In it she highlights how just having something like a “choices that makes people click more” algorithm, people can be made more extreme (youtube is one of the culprits). Not that medium has a lot of that kind of writing, but why not add variety (and more diverse, Medium Staff, I keep asking about this and get the we’re trying bit over and over)?

As well as other kinds of writing that would make for a better Medium experience (just clicks shouldn’t count)?
