Good point. There’s a place for discussion and there’s a place to get yourself and others angry and most of the internet (social media especially) has turned into the latter. I too have quit for similar reasons. I’m not trying to learn more about any subject but to throw my anger at people.

Thing is, these places are important to some extent, otherwise companies and governments wouldn’t be spending money to run bots and AstroTurf, right? That’s what I told myself. Be there to convince one person to change their minds. But I’m done with it. Better to meet people face to face and work towards something better. Or donate like you said
