Great points. I like the discussion on why we, as apes, art. It would seem to go way back in the day. What then is art in our every day lives?

Indeed, for the individual, art (as writing is for me as well) is a method of discovery as well as communication. Sometimes that’s a realistic photograph, sometimes it’s abstract. Same goes for essays and novels or other mixed media ideas.
