Super interesting, as a friend of mine would say. I first heard of GAN from another friend in the ML world. This was for Van Gogh GANs, saying that now paintings were being made of a whole different set of paintings that, ostensibly, Van Gogh would have made. The next step would be, I assume, a robotic arm creating the actual paintings and selling them in the art world.

Such forgery has always been with us, and if you watch the mocumentary F for Fake, it really goes to highlight how system has always worked. But what happens when that which is fake hits the high of having a tireless computer behind it? Will it destroy the art world as we know it (and with high finance in art, it is a very interesting place)?

Can’t wait to see.
