Thank you for this. This is true of even writers. The need for white writers to be seen as writing something apolitical is a disease in this day and age. Sometimes it stems from their complete ignorance (like Obama and Wilson together) but that baby like naivety is also a political statement. Let’s make sure to educate everyone about this.
