That’s true about keeping up with people and keeping up appearances. It’s easy to look at others and assume everything is just great, then to want to present a similarly great face. Not to say this doesn’t happen in the day to day or other mediums, but FB (and IG especially) seem to be made for status signalling.

But if that works for others, so be it. I’m glad I’ve left (FB and Twitter). Hopefully there will be more writing as a result!
