We Come to the Cascades to Run Away

They said hike away, man.

Run away, man.

From the cities that we fill with cars,

Fill with policies that destroy them.

So we jump in cars to run away from them.

Now in the fields of tranquility.

But so what?

Here too our policies follow us.

The very cars we escape with are making sure there are no places to escape to.

Do you understand?

Fate?

Hubris?

The fields of tranquility now changing.

The glaciers melting.

Vectors of insects & disease infiltrate the paradise.

Soon wildfires.

Then what?

A desert will be made

and we will call it paradise.
